The Chartered Accountancy examinations' second level is said to be CA Intermediate or CA Inter. Today we will walk you through the complete CA Intermediate course as the CA foundation results were announced a few days ago. Students will start registering for it and there will be many other students who would be entering through a direct route. The CA intermediate course is divided into two groups, each of which comprises four subjects.

 A student can register for the CA Intermediate course after passing CA Foundation or directly through the direct route. The Intermediate stage of the CA course is where students gain a thorough understanding of the numerous facets of finance and accounting. The CA Intermediate exams are held twice a year i.e. in May and Nov.

Eligibility Criteria for CA Intermediate Course 

There are two ways for candidates to register for the intermediate course:

• Through the CA Foundation Course: Candidates who scored at least a 50% mark in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's CA Foundation Examination.
• Through Direct Entry Route: The following candidates are allowed to directly register for the CA Intermediate course:

A Commerce graduate/ Post-Graduate (with minimum 55% marks) or Other Graduate/ Post-Graduate ( with minimum 60% marks)
A candidate who has passed the Intermediate level exam conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

How to Register for Intermediate CA?

• Visit the official website, Open the ICAI Self-Service Portal, and log in by entering your email id and password.
• Navigate to the Student SSP portal after authentication.
• To register for intermediate, select the process( CA Foundation/Direct entry method )
• Update your information.
• After providing the necessary information, click "save and next."
• You will receive the OTP. You can now log in successfully. Now log in and provide the remaining information.
• The registration fees must also be paid online.
• Pay the necessary fees by way of an online payment system.
  
  

Documents to be uploaded while registration

These documents are necessary for intermediate registration with CA:

• Students enrolled in the foundation route should submit an attested copy of their class 12 academic Marksheet or an equivalent Central Government-recognized examination pass mark statement.
• Students using the direct entry approach must submit an attested copy of their mark sheet from their graduation or post-graduation as well as their mark sheet from their intermediate level ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) or ICMAI examination (Institute of Cost Accountants of India).
• Attach a recent, color photograph to the registration form on paper.
• If the student is a foreign national, an attested copy of the proof of nationality.
• Authenticated copy of the certificate proving special status, such as SC, ST, OBC, or differently abled.

Please be aware that ICAI will process your application in 7 days.

Within a month of completing the aforementioned processes, students will receive their ICAI CA Inter study materials.

Duration of CA Intermediate Registration Validity

The registration for the CA Intermediate is valid for four years. By paying a revalidation cost of Rs. 400 or as otherwise determined by the Council from time to time, it may be renewed as many times as necessary for a further 4 years.

CA Intermediate Course Fees 

For both groups, the total cost of the CA Intermediate Course is Rs. 20,700, and for just one group, it is Rs. 14,500. The cost for foreign students is $1500 for both groups and $925 for just one group.

In addition to the fees listed above, students who choose the direct entry path must pay Rs. 200 for a prospectus. Additionally, foreign students

must pay registration costs of $600 for a single group and $1000 for both groups.

How can I see the results of my CA intermediate exam?

• Visit icai.nic.in, the institute website.
• Select the Intermediate Examination results link.
• Submit your 6-digit roll number, PIN, and registration number.
• The scorecard for the CA Intermediate exam will show up on the screen.
• Download, then verify.

CA Intermediate Admit Card

Intermediate CA Admission CardAdmit cards are usually issued by ICAI 14 days before the exams. The CA Inter May 2023 admit card is available for download on the official website. Admit cards won't be sent in offline mode. Downloading the admission cards from the ICAI website is the sole option.

The following information can be found on the CA Intermediate Admit Card:

• The candidate's name
• Photograph and signature of the candidate
• Name of the Exam Center 
• Examination Method
• Address of the Candidate
• Guidelines for candidates for exams.

CA Intermediate: Training Details

After passing either one group of the CA Intermediate Exams or both, the student is required to complete the practical training in the CA course as directed by the ICAI.

• ICITSS Training

The training comprises an Information technology program (IT) and an orientation course (OC) (6 hours each day) and both are of 15 days each. The fee for the information technology program is Rs. 6500, and the fee for the orientation program, which includes course materials and tea breaks, is Rs. 7000 per student.

• Articleship Training

The three years of training for the CA Articleship must be known by the students enrolled in the Chartered Accountancy course. The goal of this three-year practical training program is to turn a CA student into a skilled, informed, and all-around professional.

• AICITSS Training

Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills, or AICITSS, is made up of two 15-day courses: Advanced Information Technology and Management and Communication Skills. The cost of management and communication skills training is Rs 7000 per student, which includes course materials and tea snacks, while the cost of advanced information technology training is Rs 7500 per student.

• Industrial Education (optional)

For those pursuing a career in chartered accounting, industrial training is entirely optional. The goal of industrial training is to provide businesses with chartered accountants who have the necessary background knowledge and understanding of how industries operate.

How much time will it take to study for the intermediate CA exam?

Because it is stated that if students pay attention and emphasize more on CA intermediate, CA Finals will be simple for them, it is important for students to choose a tutor who has experience working with students at all levels of the Chartered Accountancy Course.

The CA Intermediate course has an approximate 500-hour initial study requirement with your tuition provider and a 300-hour self-directed learning requirement.
