Exam Pattern for CMA Foundation 2023

The CMA Foundation Exam is structured around multiple-choice questions (MCQ). There are four papers in all, each worth 100 marks. There will be 50 questions in total on each exam, and each question will be worth two marks. More importantly, no marks are deducted for wrong answers.

The exam is divided into two sessions: Session I and Session II. The first session runs from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second session runs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Paper I (100 marks) and Paper II (100 marks) are included in Session I, which is worth 200 marks. Paper III (100 marks) and Paper IV (100 marks) are both part of Session II.

During the exam, students are only authorized to carry the question paper. It is not authorised to leave the examination room until the exam has been completed. It is worth noting that the CMA Foundation Exam has no negative marking. In each session, the invigilator will only collect bubbled OMR sheets.

This exam pattern attempts to give an organised and synchronised method to evaluate candidates' knowledge and understanding at the foundation level.
