- The ICAI charges Rs.10,500 only for the registration which is broken down into 2 steps. First, you are required to pay Rs.9,000 at the time of registration, and Rs.1,500 at the time of submitting the application that you will have to do 2 months prior to your exam.
What subjects are included in CA Foundation exam?
The subject included in respect to the order of the institute’s exam are
- Accounts
- Law in combination with Business Correspondence & Reporting.
- Mathematics.
- Economics in combination with Business commercials.
What is the pattern for the exam papers?
- The first two subjects that are Accounts & Law are subjective while the other two subjects, Mathematics and Economics papers are objective type.
- The objective papers include negative marking so the best strategy is not to attend those which you are not sure of. If you are well-prepared conceptually you can score well.
- The past papers are available for two subjective papers whereas the objective papers are not available but if you prepare conceptually well then it becomes very easy to score marks.
What is the time required for the preparation and how to do it?
- There are two options available for studying. Firstly, you may start your preparation along with class 12 or Secondly, you may start your preparation after class 12.
- CA Foundation study takes approximately 5- 6 months. You should complete your syllabus 2 months prior to your exams, so that in the next 2 months, you can revise it again.
- If you plan to do it along with class 12, make sure to complete the syllabus from June to December, so that you can focus on board exam preparation from the month of January. Once you are done with the boards in the month of March, revise for 2 months and appear for the exam in the month of May.
- But if you plan to do it after class 12 you should try to complete your syllabus within 5 months from the month of April to August and revise in the next 2 months and appear for the CA Foundation exams in the month of November.
