Many students take professional exams, and while some pass, others fail or give up their studies after multiple attempts. Some students even wonder if they should enroll in professional courses at all, wondering if they are too old to begin and if they will ever be able to complete the course successfully.

But today we have an inspiring example who believed that age is just a number and started working hard to live her dream of becoming a CMA. So, let's go through the inspiring story of Miss Nilima Desai Ma’am.

Nilima Desai, a 60-year-old lady, is an inspiration to anyone who believes that age is a barrier to pursuing their dreams. Nilima is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Inter student who is currently pursuing her studies and striving to become a certified professional.

She is an inspiration for all students who believe that age is a barrier, as she is a B.sc in microbiology graduate who pursued a career in the banking sector, began working in a bank, and has now begun studying CMA while speaking with me, she exclaimed that she studied accounts from class 11th bookkeeping and scored 58.

Her dedication to her studies at such an age is commendable and appreciated.

When asked, Why She began Studying and Aspired to become a CMA?

She said that she was a former government employee who loved learning and wanted to become a CMA. She stated that she had recently lost her husband and had a son who is pursuing an MBA, and she was heartbroken and wanted to maintain her independence.

She also mentioned that she had got offers from organizations to operate in the area of audit analysis, however, she wanted to get her CMA first.

When asked, Who Is her Source of Inspiration?

She described her sister as an inspiration because she passed her CMA Final at the age of 65.

Nilima Ma'am attempted her CMA Inter but did not pass the exam, but she has been studying day and night, watching YouTube videos, and taking SJC classes. We talked about the issues she's having.

Tips for All Who Want To Clear Their CMA/CA Student

There are three stages to preparing for a subject:

In the first stage, Always complete your full syllabus first, and if you are taking recorded classes, complete them on time and consistently. If you don't understand any of the recorded classes, watch them again or contact your teacher with your questions.

The second stage is practice and as we all know, practice is essential when it comes to practical subjects. Solve the problems and practice them, and try to go through the practice questions from the ICMAI study material as well as your teacher's book. For theory subjects, try to understand the concepts in class; only then will you be able to remember them for a long time.

The final stage is the revision and mock tests; try to revise twice before exams and administer mock tests. Mok tests are extremely important.

I hope Nilima Ma’am’s story of becoming a CMA inspires many students out there. Watch out for the whole video, how positive and inspiring a person she is.
